What man searching in his life?

This question is always haunting to me.I myself searching my other half.There is one greek myth.male-male,male-female,and female -female. Oneday they offended the gods and to punish them Zeus cut them in half,scattering the two severed halves in opposite direction.Since that day,we always searching for our other half.
This kind myth you can findout in other civilization also..What is meaning of this myth?Greek myth futher say-When half meets its other half,each overcome by Eros and each delightes and being with other.The reason for this is not,ornot merely,a desire for sexual intercourse on the contrary ,the soul of each wishes for something it cannot put into words.Lover desire to live a common life and die a common death to become One again ,in complete and lasting union.
The reason for this is our ancient nature we were once unified Whole.Eros Aristophanes tells us "Is the desire and pursuit of wholeness.
My openion is that idea of this myth came from amoeba very small living creaure that consists of only one cell.When that divided in twopart, futher evolution was started, but that two part never came together.
My firm openion is that if they come together evolution will stop.man desire for search will stop.

Are scientists spreading illusion in society?

What purpose scientists doing research?What is motive behind their reaserch?Only curiosity or they want to make people happy?
No double science make life easy, reduce the pain of people, increase the longevity and making man as a couch potato and devoid the meaning of his life.
My main objection to science it reducing pure joy and self-satisfaction which is highest aim of man`s life.
Science want to make man immortal.Is it possible?Is it worth or say useful to mankind?
Death giving meaning to man`s life. If there is no meaning to man`s life, what purpose he live? you are making evolution meaningless.
Scientists must understand the limit of science and donot make such a devil who one day devour whole mankind

What purpose man live?

Darwin evolution telling us man live for survival and reproduction.In Reproduction I include Art, Music,literature,philosophy and all other creating work.Survival is so much open in every creature so there is no controversy on this issue.
There are lot of contraversy on reproduction.All animal including man,production mean give birth to next generation.This reproduction are doing by all living creature including plants.This vague defination.I think we must include art, music,literature and other creation which have some permentant value is reproduction. Many philosophers arists were unmarried but the reproducted manument work.
My question is can man have no other motive other than reproduction? Same question raised by Richard Dawkkins in his book The Selfish Gene but it is quite different connection He say"We are build as gene machine and cultured as meme machine,butwe have the power to turn agianst our creators. We alone on earth can rebel against the tyranny of selfish replicators. But HOW?
This question is tormenting to me fromlong long time. Can anybody have answer?
